Call for Artists!
Tank Gallery has been invited to co-curate art works across site for the Love Next Valentines Ball held within the vast Old Vic Tunnels. Hosted by the arts and entertainment company The Artful Badger the event boasts an exciting array of music, art, games, theatre, dance and adventure.
There is a unique opportunity for artists to show work as part of this event. There are various unique spaces across the site for art installations. Tank is particularly interested in site specific installation including sound, light and video works One small enclosed mysterious space of particular interest, comprises of a series of small ever shrinking rooms connected with arched doorways. This enclave was used previously by Polly Morgan to exhibit her stunning work Carrion Call. Other artists to have exhibited in the Old Vic Tunnels include Banksey, The work should relate in some way to the theme of the event. Love, birds, nests, flight, trees, feathers, chicks, eggs, hearts, broken hearts, love stories, mating, rutting, flirting, etc... About Tank
Tank is a dynamic curatorial organisation which presents interesting and challenging contemporary art, produced by local and international artists. Focusing on installations, site specific and live art, we encourage experimentation, freedom of concept, technique, process, material and style.
Founded in April 2009 Tank hosted an ambitious program of exhibitions, talks, film screenings, workshops, performances and literary events within its South London residency before deciding to make the move into freelance curation. |
